Former Loyola guards Ben Richardson and Donte Ingram were two of six prospects to work out for the Chicago Bulls Thursday. Ingram is set to work out with the Milwaukee Bucks May 25.

NBA teams allow prospects to work out for scouts prior to the NBA Draft, which is set for June 21. Last year, former Loyola guard and current Brooklyn Nets guard Milton Doyle worked out for eight teams — including the Bulls — prior to joining the Nets as an undrafted free agent June 23, 2017.

Richardson could not immediately respond for comment.

In April, The Phoenix reported Ingram signed with the agency Edge Sports International to possibly test the NBA Draft. Edge Sports also represents Doyle and allows Ingram to be in touch with teams to play professionally.

At the men’s basketball year-end banquet April 19, Richardson said he’d be seeking opportunities to play in Europe to continue his basketball career. He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Chicago May 19-20 and hopes to have more NBA workouts throughout the summer.

Loyola won 89 games during Richardson and Ingram’s four years at Loyola, which is the most wins over that time since first-years became eligible in 1972. Ingram was named second team All-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) in 2018 and Richardson was named 2018 MVC Defensive Player of the Year.
