Former Loyola swingman Donte Ingram is set to sign an NBA Summer League contract with the Chicago Bulls, a source with knowledge of the draft told The Phoenix. The team has not confirmed.

This is the second straight year a former Rambler has signed a Summer League deal. Former Loyola guard Milton Doyle signed with the Brooklyn Nets last year after he wasn’t picked in the draft.

Prior to the NBA Draft, The Phoenix reported Ingram worked out for 10 NBA teams, including the Bulls and New York Knicks. Scouts liked his shot release and his ability to play guard and forward, according to a source close to the workouts.

As a senior last season, Ingram averaged 11 ppg and 6.4 rpg and hit the game-winning shot against University of Miami in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament March 15. He was named second team All-Missouri Valley Conference, Arch Madness All-Tournament Team and NCAA Tournament All-South Region.

The Summer League is set to run from July 2-17.
