The honors keep rolling in for Loyola men’s basketball head coach Porter Moser.

Moser was selected for induction to the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame, Loyola Athletics announced Tuesday morning. Moser’s one of 10 people to be inducted Oct. 3 at Wintrust Arena.

Other inductees include University of Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Muffet McGraw, who led the Fighting Irish to the 2018 national championship, and Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson.

A native of west suburban Naperville, Moser was named the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year National Association of Basketball Coaches District 16 Coach of the Year. He was hired at Loyola in 2011 and has a 121-111 record.

This past year, Loyola went 32-6 overall and made its first NCAA Tournament Final Four appearance since 1963 — when it won the national championship. The Ramblers fell to Michigan 69-57 in San Antonio. Four players from last year’s roster — Donte Ingram, Ben Richardson, Aundre Jackson and Carson Shanks — have signed professional contracts for next season.
