Students have long been able to buy alcohol at Gentile Arena. But now, the booze will be sold by fellow Ramblers.

Loyola Limited, a student-run business, will be taking over concessions at all Loyola Athletics events, the athletics department announced Aug. 27. Loyola’s contract with Cuomo Concessions expired at the end of last season.

Starting with the 2018-19 season, beer and wine will be sold at volleyball and basketball games in Gentile Arena. Credit cards will be accepted at all concession stands at Hoyne Field and Gentile Arena.

“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to partner with Loyola Limited and their new brand, The Wolf’s Kettle, on our athletics concessions operations,” Tom Sorboro, a Loyola Athletics official, said in a statement. “We have worked closely with Loyola Limited on a number of events and initiatives in the past and have been extremely impressed with the work of the students involved.”

Loyola Limited also runs businesses near campus, including Ireland’s Pub 10 in the Damen Student Center and Felice’s Kitchen on Sheridan Road. The organization’s first game as Loyola’s concessionaire was the men’s soccer team’s home opener Aug. 27.
