Loyola men’s basketball associate head coach Bryan Mullins is set to be inducted into the Southern Illinois University (SIU) Athletics Hall of Fame Oct. 19, the school announced June 13.

Mullins was a standout basketball player at SIU from 2005-09. The Downers Grove native holds school records with 509 total career assists and 2.08 career stpg. Mullins was also a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year, a four-time All-Defense team member and a two-time All-American during his time at Southern Illinois.

After a four-year career in France, Mullins was hired as director of men’s basketball operations at Loyola in 2013 and was promoted to assistant coach in 2015. Head coach Porter Moser promoted Mullins to associate head coach May 22.

Mullins is one of seven inductees into the Saluki Hall of Fame. Kansas State University head coach Bruce Weber — whose Wildcats fell to the Ramblers in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament March 24 — was also selected to be inducted. The induction is set for Oct. 19 prior to SIU’s homecoming football game.
